Guest guest
I'm new to this grp and I have a 3 year girl (Sam) who is diagnosed somewhere on the ASD. They Ph.Ds all don't agree. Anyway she has these strange stys called chalazia that continue to regrow. She has needed them excision and drainage for them twice. For adults its a simple lancing procedure for children that age plus with the Autism thing- it's surgery because they have to give her anesthesia. I've started the diet- but no results yet. We are on day 4. She has been s/w lethargic and irritable. I hope that is a good sign. I was thinking the eye thing may be connected to her autism ( either gastro or immuno things- food allergies). The doctors laugh at me. No one wants to pursue anything. I don't think they understand why I won't go away- when they have nothing to offer me. Has anyone had anything similar? There is a DAN doctor in town- of course he won't accept our insurance and I am a little unnerved about some of the things his secretary told me. I'm just looking for informaiton and trying my best to help my Sammy. Jeneane
