Guest guest
I had a son with this problem. We worked with him- using balls. Took two of us, one to throw the ball, one to take his hands to catch. Also a big ball which we put him over (belly on it) and pushing on his legs, we'd roll the ball over enough that his hands could reach. We'd work with him to put his hands out as the ball rolled. I'm thinking we started this when he was around three. He's doesn't have it now, though his reflexes are still a little slow. I'm sorry, I don't know the name of it. I just took it (at that time) to be a little problem for him which needed worked on. My son >does not do this so therefore usually lands on his head when falling. >Tonight his nose met with the brick in front of our fireplace and I saw him >slip and he would have had time to put a hand down but his arms stayed at >his side and his nose took the fall.He is 4 years old, almost 5. Anyone else >see this and do we need to teach them how to fall safely?
