Guest guest
Dear , I am also very new to this group. My husband and I are Filipinos. Our son Sebastian Raphael was born with bilateral club feet last July 22, 2003. I would like to recommend our son's doctor here in the Philippines named Dr. Vince Gomez of Makati Medical Center. He used the Ponseti method in doing casting for our baby boy (started at 4 days old). It was successful. Basti is now on corrective shoes. By the way, I am glad to have found this support group for parents w/ children born w/ club feet. May God bless us all and our children. Guest guest
, it is true that there are many doctors out there who are using the Ponseti method but are not yet listed on Dr. Ponseti's website. It can be quite frustrating trying to locate them however without direct word-of-mouth referrals! I'm glad that you were able to get a lead. It may be a good idea to ask Dr. Ponseti when you email him if he has any knowledge of that particular doctor or if he perhaps knows of others in the Philippines who are practising his method. How soon do you think you will be able to travel back home in order to start treatment for your son?
