Guest guest
Hi Lorie, I don't know what was happening on the other group, maybe a bad coincidence, but I don't think weight loss surgery is the cause of miscarraige at all. i had 2 miscarraiges 1 before and 1 after WLS and neither one were realted to my surgery, it was hormones. I ma currently 6 1/2 months pregnant again and I am feeling great. i am very healthy and I eat well, take all my vitamins and get plenty of rest and this baby is doing great. I am on this group and another for after surgery pregos and we are all doing well. There was a time last August on the one group when like 8 of us had miscarraiges all in the same month and then a couple months after most all of us seemd to be prego again. It was just coincidence. if you really want a baby then wait at least your 1 year, at least be eating well and taking in your nutrition, get yourself on some folic acid (800mcg) daily and try. There is never a guarantee that we will not have a miscarraige no matter if we had surgery or not, but if you want another child badly enough it is worth the risk. If you are on a birth control right now I would recommend waiting 2 cycles after you stop them before trying to conceive. Both times I miscarried I had gotten pregnant coming off the birth control pills. Good Luck with whatever you decide. God Bless, Robin, NorthEastern, NY EDD- July 27th, 2004 IT'S A BOY!!!!!!
