Guest guest
Kathy, All the open MRIs that I have had done have been done with contrast/dye. The radiologist and docs feel there will be a better picture with a closed scan. Thanks so much for taking the time to reply. I need to have closed MRIs of the brain and cervical spine. I had open MRIs done and another brain cyst and suggested myelopathy was noted. Radiologist and Neuro feel closed MRI will give more information. Did I mention I am a claustrophobic, extremely fearful chicken who feels great anxiety just thinking about MRIs? I have had the " closed " experience and just about clawed my way out. I do not wish to humiliate myself again. Neuro suggested ativan. (I would prefer to be unconscious.) Has anyone had any experience with using it and did it help? Thanks for any insight anyone can provide. Humiliated, Marie
