Guest guest
I was told they did not cover it, but that was about 4-5 years ago. I'm sure if you call Tricare, they will help you out.
Guest guest
My inseminations didn't cost nearly as much as I thought they would. I was thinking in the thousands of dollars, but not quite as expensive as in vitro. The actual sperm washing and insemination process was only $135 and it produced 6# 9 oz results!!!! (take a look at my beautiful profile picture!!!) Of course, I had to pay for fertility drugs that were around $80, lab work to check hormone levels and an US to check follice size that was $75. All in all, well worth it! THey even let me set up payments for it! <---happy her insemination worked!! lol
Guest guest
well thanks alot I am glad it worked for you, my insurance pays for the meds and u/s's it is just up in the air if they pay for the inseminations, they pay for the invitro if i go to a military hospital (no thanks) but maybe they will pay for the inseminations if i go to them, the poor girl who answered the phone didnt know a hole lot. did yours work the first try? apryl
Guest guest
Apryl.... I can tell you from experience that unless you have it done at a Military hospital they DO NOT cover them at all!! NO IUI< IVF, nothing.... we have spent thousands of dollars, and not gotten PG, so we have given up, but I tried every way of working with them, and they feel that it is ELECTIVE so they won't cover it for civilians docs at all... I hope that helps you some. MS
Guest guest
yes thanks, and I am sorry you have had to go thru all that you have.I will just pay for the iui if it comes to that but I wont hock my house for ivf I already have 3 little monkey's and I would just chalk it up to it isn't meant to be. military healthcare is my least favorite thing about the military. I hope by some chance things turn around for you. my best apryl
