Guest guest
Lana, You will need several diapers for sure. For 8-12 pounds, your baby will only be in these for a short amount of time unless your baby is a 10 pounder. I would suggest that you share half or so with your neighbor. Guest guest
I am trying to remember how many I went thru in hte past. it also depends on how big your baby is when born of course but if you have smaller size babies, like 5-7 pounds it is a good chance you could use them all up since he/she would need to gain 5-7 more pounds before it hits the 12 pound mark, that and it would possible still be able to wear them even AFTER reaching 12 pounds, depending on the diaper. If they are newborn they may get small fast and if they are size 1 they should be able to last til gone. ANyways, I used about 10 diapers a day including the poopy ones. I know I changed the twins more than I could count and with my daughter I changed her in hte night when she woke for her feeding plus 8-10 times a day so 10 times a month of 30 is 300 and the baby would only be a month old still so you will probably use them all up. Guest guest
Lana, I would keep them. Think about 8-10 diapers per day. That is 300 a month! So, if your baby is under 12lbs for the 1st two months, you will use them all. Josie

Guest guest
My sister gave me a crap load of diapers (8-12 pounds?) How long would a baby stay in this weight range as far as diapers? How many diapers will I be going through each day? I need to know if I should keep all of these diapers or give some of them to my neighbor who is due a few weeks before? When I say a crap load, I talking well over 400 diapers Lana
Guest guest
Cadence was born at 6lbs 9oz, and I am not sure how much she weighs right now, (2-month appt is on Wednesday), but she can still wear her newborn sized diapers, and she goes through 8-10 a day. She is 8 weeks old today and I think the size ones fit her better but the newborn ones still work well enough that we want to use them up before she really does outgrow them. What a nice gift! Guest guest
is there anyway you can take them back and exchange them for a larger size? Many newborns go through 8-10 diapers a day, give or take a few. Some babies are born weighing over 8# so you wouldn't be able to use them for long at all (couple of weeks?) lol
Guest guest
ok, never mind my previous comment. I thought the weight limit was 8# (I overlooked the 12 pound part) lol
Guest guest
With my son I was always afraid of him having a bad diaper rash. Plus I breastfed him so he had very mushy poops.....quite a lot of them throughout the day. I think I used at least 10 diapers a day....... I say keep them... cause they are expensive and if you don't use them give them to a women and childrens shelter. Chrystal Wife to Jace - together 6 Years! Happy Mommy to - 4 Years Old! Guest guest
Lana, Like everyone is saying, it totally depends on how big your baby is. I bought a big box of the size 1 diapers and still have not been able to use them because Hannah is too small for them at nearly 9 weeks. If you really want to give some to your neighbor go for it but I would keep the bulk of them for yourself, especially if they are the stretchy kind because those kind may last longer than you think.
