Guest guest
Hi...I had silver caps on most of my teeth when i was younger. They also just did a couple at a time and used the laughing gas..man I love that stuff I ask for it everytime i visit a dentist even at 28. I didn't have any problems at all. Guest guest
Now that I just read your update, and that it is cavities. I would strongly encourage you to talk to your dentist and see if this repair can be done over a several week period, using laughing gas. My son had to have 6 cavities, and we did this method -- with 2 cavities being done at a time, every 2 weeks. They gave us a sample little mask ahead of time (he chose vanilla) and he got to practice with it. My son is ABSOLUTELY an anxious panicky child -- and yet with the laughing gas, he was awake and making jokes and not a problem at all. > Olivia's teeth are only slightly crowded but she has 4 cavities in > the back molars. Due to other health issues, brittle bone disease, > and dairy allergy (she couldn't have a calcium suppliment because it > made her constipation worse) we couldn't stop cavities just from > brushing. So for now we're going to put silver crowns on 8 molars > and at a later date may have to do some of the other teeth as well > if the enamel breaks down more. > > Leah
Guest guest
Both my twins (one RSS one not) need dental work. Becca (non RSS) was born without two baby teeth and has major enamal problems. needs his front three teeth fixed and sealant. Our dentist said that for Becca we could put her under and do all at once or spread it over 3 visits with numbing her. We chose to spread it out. only needs one appointment, but we would have done the same thing with him. Also, we got very lucky. The ped dentist our regular dentist sent us to is on the cranio-facial team at Westchester County Medical Center and has worked on other RSS children. Good luck, Judith, Steve, (RSS) and (non RSS) almost 4 yr old twins
