However... since you know who the father is.. you can go down to the court house and get all the paperwork to fill out for child support and daycare costs. In the state of NJ.. child support is mandatory as well as HALF the daycare costs and in some cases the father would be required to carry heath insurance OR pay for coverage. It gets better... In NJ the paychecks are GARNISHED for child support and failure to pay child support is a trip to county jail.. Bail is the back pay. Now.. if you lived in Florida.. child support is an automatic 25% of the guy's paycheck..LOL K in Ft Lauderdale Open RNY w/choly 12/2/03 55 lbs gone... slowly.. very slowly.. Guest guest
My sister in law went through this and more recently our niece. Contact the state agencies...they will attatch his wages so that you can get some help and the agencies will also help you while you cannot work. You could maybe get Wic or some medical assistance. I'm sorry you are going through this! Chrystal Wife to Jace - together 6 Years! Happy Mommy to - 4 Years Old! New Baby Boy Swenson Due July 28, 2004! Guest guest
, Walk down to the court and file for child support and help with maternity expenses. UNDER LAW -- and this is NOT LEGAL ADVICE! -- the father has to contribute to the costs of raising the baby as well as medical costs and such. AGAIN NOT LEGAL ADVICE! Anyway, they will automatically deduct child support from the father's check when you have a custody order. You might have to wait until the baby is born. You also might be able to get palimony to support you for a certian amount of time after the baby is born. Palimony is equivalent to alimony but for non-married couples. That at least would give you some time after having the baby before you have to go back to work. Also apply for the following: WIC, food stamps, and after the baby is born and needs day care -- day care help which I believe is under Title IX. YOu can also apply for other help such as utility help (phone, heat, water). Don't give up. Things will work out. mailto: dferguson@...
