low diffusion(dlco) on pft's

Does anyone have a low diffusion on their pulmonary function tests

(pft's)? I had pft's in January which were abnormal in regards to

muscle weakness and asthma and also low diffusion. I had the dlco

repeated this week and it was low again- about the same as in January

but still markedly reduced. I am waiting to hear from my pulmo doc and

hoping he has some answers. I had a high resloution chest ct done in

feb or march which showed mild interstitial changes vs scarring in both

bases. Any thoughts??? From what I have read, there are usually only a

few reasons for a low dlco(diffusion)-interstitial lung disease,

pulmonary fibrosis,emphysema among a few. I am just concerned as I have

never smoked etc. Maybe it is something autoimmune as I have a positive

ANA. Thanks!
