Guest guest
Howdy Folks, I was away at a minister's retreat here in VA and had a wonderful time. We watched the Super Bowl together and had a hoot. Connor, of course, being the only baby there, and being his adorable self, charmed the socks off the other pastors and many of the staff at our resort. As many of you know, I am hosting a fund raiser for the Magic Foundation's SGA/RSS division. I asked earlier for hard copy pictures of your kids so that I can have a " family album " so to speak at the dinner. FYI: The dinner is on March 19, 2004. Hopefully the bad weather will be passed by then. However, to date, I have only received two adorable pictures. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PEOPLE, send me pictures of your kids. This fund raiser benefits you all who are on this list serve in that all the wonderful research we can get our hot little hands on in part comes from fund raiser's like these. For the two families who have sent photo's, a thousand warm hugs sent to you and your precious children! Onto other stuff. We had our orthotic appointment today. I am glad to report that Connor's left leg is only off 3/8th of an inch. The doc put a small lift into his shoe, Connor's foot stopped dragging and his hips straightened out. yippee!!!!! THe doc then said we wouldn't have to see him again until Connor is three and his bones (or in Connor's case, his ankles) fuse together more. AT this age, he said they were little rubber bands and even with our syndrome, there isn't that much to correct - yet. Of course it is the wait and see game, but it was so refreshing to go into an office where the doc was pleasant, knowledgable about RSS and had a fast, cheap solution that righted a minor problem now. O.k. alright. THe complete worry wart in me is waiting for the other shoe (or ankle) to drop, literally. Those adorable flat feet you know?!!!!!! But all in all, I should be counting my blessings. Take Care to all and remember to send me the photo's! Mom to Graham 7; Cameron 4; Connor 16 months IUGR SGA/RSS? Periactin & Zantac and a brand new orthotic that Connor loves.
