Guest guest
" What is really frustrating is > that our friends up here have been more caring and > helpful than my family. " Laurie, You are so correct about that. I have even found this to be true in my own family. My sister and mother do try to call, but due to distance, they can't come over and help. My brother never calls or says a word to me. Same for my husband's family - brother never calls, but his parents do call and " mourn, " so we don't give them a chance to help out. We need support ourselves, not to support them! Our friends have always come to the hospital, showered Max with gifts, taken my late night phonecalls for a shoulder to cry on.... I truly am sorry to hear what you have been through. Fire is one of the most devastating things that can happen to a family. I'm glad that your friends are helping and that you are in the process of getting back to semi-normal. It must be so hard. I hope it helps to know that we all care. And if you DO need help, please just ask. Jodi Z.
