Donna,

I was totally NOT prepared to have the reaction I did when I attempted the

last closed MRI. I had had one done years prior and managed just fine.

I've barely made it through all the open MRIs that I've had done. I'll

further embarrass myself and admit that my husband has come in with me for

them. :-)

I have a son (27) and a daughter (25) who relax and nap while having one

done.

I have a daughter (21) and son (16) who had similar reactions to mine.

Thanks for your admission of having been pulled out yourself a few times.

Made me feel soooo much better. :-)

I'll let you know how it goes once I finally do it. Trying to fit things in

for myself with a large family with lots of appointments scheduled gives me

the justification I need to procrastinate. :-)

Thanks again.

Hugs,

Marie

Marie,

Please don't feel humilated I am also a claustrophobic and am also very

fearful of MRI'S my son takes ativan as needed when in an episode he has

severe cyclic vomiting syndrome and severe autonomic dysfunction all

secondary to mito. I know when he has his MRI'S he takes his ativan and I

know when I need another one I am asking my doctor for something to help me

get through it. I have had to be pulled out a few times lol take care.

Hugs,

Donna K
