Guest guest
Thanks, everybody who replied to my last post re " Sad Husband " . Your reponses gave me a lift - it's so good to talk to people who understand. I have another question. Despite pain, I'm able to do some forms of exercise (swimming, a little walking) for limited periods of time, but am not sure if I'm doing myself any favors, given the crushing fatigue that follows. The little advice I've gotten from the doctors is not consistent. Some say " conserve energy " while others say I'll stay more mobile if I keep moving. What have your experiences been? Guest guest
The question of balancing the benefits of exercise with the extreme fatigue afterwards has always been tricky for me. I found that when I did not exercise at all I got more fatigued and had more problems in the long run. When I exercise the amount that seems right for me, my overall health is better. I tend to exercise in the early evening because I don't make too many evening plans so I don't mind resting afterwards (especially when my hunny rests with me!). If I exercise early in the day I can't get anything else done during the hours that I most like to do things. But please keep in mind that this is just my experience!! It seems like we all differ greatly in terms of what amount and what kind of exercise we benefit from. And by the way, welcome to the group.
