Guest guest
I had my 20 week appointment and ultrasound today! The baby looks great and all the measurements are fine. She is really low, underneath my belly button, and I didn't remember my other two children being this low. My OB said that with two previous pregnancies, that it is not surprising that I'm carrying this baby so low. I also mentioned to my OB that I have had daily backaches now for the last month. I try to rest on my side when I can, but being a full time working Mommy, I have to wait until after work. I only resort to Tylenol when I've absolutely had enough pain for one day. I asked my Dr. if there is anything else I could do for my backaches and he said that I could try one of those pregnancy belts to raise my stomach. He also recommended that I try hot and cold packs, and he said that being in the water in a swimming pool might help as well. As a last resort, he could send me to physical therapy. I'm willing to try all of the above, but I was wondering if anyone else has had experience with a constant dull backache due to the baby being so low, and if so, what helped you? Thanks!
