Got a letter from Jay Markell about why the clamps are so expensive

He is very nice and I understand where he is coming from the letter

is as follows

I agree with you that the red Fillauer Bars and the component parts

very overpriced. The cost on the black little clamps is what you

We are just passing along the cost. The ones that you should really

Unfortunately, companies like Fillauer Inc., manufacture mostly

expensive components for artificial limbs that cost thousands of

dollars. Therefore, they think nothing of charging $5 or $10 for

a .50

or 1.00 screw or clamp.

That is the best explanation I can offer you.

I have an idea though, that if you speak to someone at Fillauer

about

their defective clamps, that they will send you a few for free.

Oh well I did write to Fillauer to complain so maybe if anyone on

this board can do the same thing we can get them to redo these

clamps and make them better. I guess at least I only got charged
