Home from weekly testing, baby here sooner than we thought

Ohhhh, You are going to have that little one with you ssooo very soon. I had

to be induced at 33 weeks with the twins because of low fluids nad the smaller

baby showed signs of distress from it and they were both fine, small but

healthy at 33 weeks. your Hannah should be okay now even if she does have to

come

out early.

I went in for my weekly fetal heart monitoring and ultrasound this morning. The

good news is that Hannah is still head down and her heart is strong, regular,

and beating just like it should and her movement is good as well. The bad news

is that my amino fluid is now down from 8 to 6 meaning it is not officially low.

The nurse at the perinatologist office kept me there until she could discuss the

test results with both him and my OB. The perinatologist wants me to now come

in for these tests twice a week so I have to go back Monday or Tuesday, and my

OB said to let me go home today but I'm to take it easy. I'm not sure how much

more easy I can take it as I have not really done anything since they told me to

take it easy last week, LOL! The nurse at the perinatologist said that my OB

isn't going to let this go on much longer and was questioning me as to what due

date was my OB going by and what was the date of my last period. She said that

she thinks that they are going to induce me no later than 10 days from now. I

am planning on bringing my hospital bag with me to my next appointment for

testing on Monday or Tuesday with the expatiation that they won't like the fact

that the fluid is still low and admit me for inducing right away. I asked the

nurse today what signs would the baby be giving if she was having difficulty

with the fluid being low and they said that her heart rate would be low and she

would not be moving much, both of which are not the case with her so I'm not too

worried. I asked her that why does she think the fluid got lower even though I

had been taking it easy and upping my fluid intake. She told me that these are

only suggestions that they make in the hopes that the amniotic fluid goes up,

but they really have no idea what makes it go up or down. I asked her that

since this is going to be happening a couple of weeks earlier than we expected

can I do the few things I have left to do to prepare for the birth and

thankfully she told me yes. I sure am glad that this is going to be over sooner

rather than later. I have a feeling if I had been 38 weeks instead of 37 weeks

they would have induced me today, but docs don't like to go earlier than 38

weeks if they can get away with it. Bottom line for me, I am just really

listening to my body and watching it for cues as to what I need as far as

whether I'm doing to much or not. These next few days should prove to be very

interesting! LOL!
