Guest guest
Yes, I give my son allergy shots. He normally gets one a week. But now that the tree pollen has come out (he is extremely allergic) I have been giving him one every other day. Starting this weekend we will be doing one every day until the oak pollen disappears. I dread this terribly, but it truly is helping him. Last year at this time I completely lost him to outer space. It was a nightmare regression that directly correlated with the pollen count. I have no intention of losing him this Spring if I could help it. So far, so good. He did start slipping away, then I increased the frequency of shots and got him back after about 3 days. I am just about holding my breath waiting, DREADING when that darn oak pollen hits in two weeks. That will be the real test. We live in Virginia and the tree pollen is outa control. The pollen actually 'rains down' for some time and covers everything in a lovely green blanket. Someone told me I should move to the coast to get him away from it. That actually depressed me terribly since I have no intention of moving in the near future. But who knows what the future holds? Imagine, being run out of town by tree pollen. Although, we know first hand what a formidable enemy it is! Charlene in Virginia Cherry Blossoms are coming and we'll be running for cover!
