frustrated cant stand the wait

Hi All,

I'm so frustrated right now and not a damn thing i can do about it LOL. This

time between possible conception and missed period is killing me. If we have

concieved then it would have been on the 14th or so. My period is due on

Friday or Saturday. However today I went and had blood work for my surgeon and

PCP to check all that good stuff. I asked the tech if he could call my PCP and

have a PG test addes so that in the event I DO miss my period this weekend I

wouldn't have to go back for more blood work. He said no problem but I was

there before my Dr's office opened. He said to call the Doc when I got home and

have them call it in. That they draw enough blood they can run the PG test

too no problem. Well I called my PCP and the nurse first asked me why i wanted

to add the test. ...um, duh i think i might be pregnant...LOL She asked if i

had any symptoms I did tell her that I've had some breast tenderness and a

pinching very isolated pain in my very low abdomen, above my pubic bone to the

right sid. She said okay that was all she needed to know she would talk to

the doctor and let me know. Well four hours later she calls back and says I

can come in for a urine if I want, but I'll still have to pay the $20.00

co-pay. I asked if the urine would show it even if I had not missed a period

she

said she wasn't sure. So I told her that I would rather wait until the weekend

to even see if it was really necessary and then i would go to the store and

pay ten bucks for my own test...

what was the big deal on just adding the pg test to the blood?? Can anyone

tell me this??
