Hi Kim

I'm Jan, Duane's wife I don't know if you remember me but, Duane was put

on Hospice on December 3rd I will never forget that date and I know exactly

what you are going thru and how you feel.

the hospice team are concerned about me also Duane has switched his days and

nights I don't get any sleep until around 4 am and he then starts up again

around 6 so I am sleep deprived he just cant be left alone at all, he get

into things it is not safe.

He fell tonight this is the 3rd time in two weeks I just cant seem to keep

him on his feet the hospice nurse had me take him to the er to make sure he

did not have a head bleed.

after 5 hours we got to go home and I put him to bed.

If you need to talk please feel free to e-mail me privately

Dave's health

> Hi everyone,

> It's been a while since I have posted. Dave went on Hospice in December,

and things are not't looking good.

> He mostly sits in a recliner during the day and sleeps at night. The

doctor feels I should place Dave so he can get more mental stimulation and

she can see that I'm worn out in care giving. I started college for my

social science degree. I'm trying to prepare myself for life without Dave.

my courses are done from home so I can be with Dave. I' ve been seeing a

therapist to help me deal with this loss, she calls it anticipatory grief.

my head says on thing my heart says another. I feel like I'll be betraying

Dave by placing him but I know I can't continue on doing this daily by

myself. Has anyone else been through this?
