Guest guest
Hello to all, Just wanted to let you all know that went into the hospital last night. He started throwing up, and when it became apparent that he wasn't going to stop, his mom and other g-ma took him into the ER. They did a really good job of getting the Drs to start an IV before he was taken off feeds. So for today, he's on gut rest. They're going to try restarting feeds tomorrow at a reduced rate, to see what he can tolerate. One strange thing happened, and I was wondering if this ever happened to any of your kids?? When they started the D10 IV, 's BS shot up over 290 within 30 min, They ended up disconnecting him, and moving him down to D5. At 9am this morning his BSLs were at 71 on the D5, so I'm wondering if they should move him up to the D10 again?? Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.
