Guest guest
Leah, Unknowingly, you may have solved our problem with Max and his stomach!!!! He, too, drinks Rice Dream and loves it. I wonder if that is causing constipation which, in turn, would cause those stomach pains???? I can't wait to see Dr. H. next week to run all of this by her. Thanks for the idea! Jodi Z. Guest guest
Kim and Leah, was also delivered early due to severe IUGR. They took him at 34 weeks. He weighed a mere 2 lbs. 12 1/2 oz.! He was sooo tiny. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know you guys aren't alone! They thought had Trisomy 18! Guest guest
Judith, Just curious, prior to 31 weeks was behind in growth? Since you had twins, was delivering one early & not the other ever an option? I have heard stories to this effect before and find it very interesting. Guest guest
Jodi, Were your doctors planning all along to deliver you early or was it a spur of the moment thing? Initailly one doctor thought had Down Syndrome, but the amnio didn't show this. I knew would come early, but he came a bit earlier than expected. I delivered by c-section at 28 weeks weighing 15 oz. and measuring 11 " . He dropped down to 12 oz. before gaining weight, so I can empathize with the tiny part (and continue to empathize with this as he is still smaller than many of the RSS kids around his age. You are lucky that you got Dr. H's help early, as I am sure will overcome many of his issues in a few years. Unfortunately, I didn't know about all this when was a baby, and I think we may have been able to help him a little more if I had known about RSS & the treatments. I look forward to meeting you at the convention! Kim C. > Kim and Leah, > was also delivered early due to severe IUGR. They took him at > 34 weeks. He weighed a mere 2 lbs. 12 1/2 oz.! Guest guest
Kim, was behind the entire pregnancy. I became pregnant the end of June and was due the end of March. They put me on bed rest the end of November because wasn't growing well and was lagging so far behind. It was just at 31 weeks that he stopped growing altogether. They couldn't deliver w/o because she was in the dominent position.
