Subject: A little long....sorry

Well, I was set to leave to go back to Germany on June 2nd but I got a

call and

my father-n-law will be having heart surgery for 2 blockages. After

telling Todd

(Jerry) about this he decided it would be best if I stay in the states

and take

his place to be there for his dad for him vs. me returning home, him

having to

take emerg. leave, leaving myself and Caitlyn alone while he comes to

the states

for this and risking something happening while he's in the states to

me or to

his dad while in surgery and then I can't attend because I wouldn't be

able to

fly. He also felt it would be too much to take leave for this surgery

and then

for me. So I said I'll do whatever you want me to do.

Therefore, since I won't be able to fly back, I will be staying in San

until baby is born and Todd will join us in about a month or so. I'm

due the 7th

of Aug. but I know she won't be here that day lol. I had an appt.

yesterday and

spoke about options because of my situation. I am contemplating a repeat

C-section but not sure because part of me would like to try to labor

again. I

labored with Caitlyn but because of fetal distress from heart rate

dropping we

had to have an emerg. C-section. My options are 1.) start stripping

membranes in

my 38th week or 2.) Do a C-section in wk. 39....of course this is all

pending

that Miss Madison doesn't decide to come early on her own lol. I will be

delivering at Wilford Hall which to be honest, I'm quite excited about

because I

know I'm in good hands.

I am seeing the same Midwife I was seeing prior to leaving for Germany and

yesterday at my appt. when I weighed I'm now at a gain of about 21-22

lbs and

I'm 31 and 1/2 wks. but have only gained 5-6 lbs of that since I was

last seen

in Germany 7wks. ago because I was 24 wks. then and left for SA when I was

28wks., was supposed to be seen before I left but was canceled and

couldn't be

seen before leaving and we thought I'd be back but learned I'm not so

I was a

little late in getting in but all is good now. My Midwife is quite

happy about

my wt., said that the gain for the past 7wks. is even a tad low but

she's fine

with that. Then during the assessment of how baby is lying and in

doing my tummy

measuring she did comment that I'm all baby and doesn't feel it's any

" extra "

wt. which made my spirits even better than they were lol. Then when

giving my

little urine sample I was quite happy because of how nice and clear it

was as

you all know how we must stay hydrated so I made a comment of

how beautiful it looked and Caitlyn was with me and says mom, you're

strange

lol. I told her why I said it and she said she understands but still

thinks I'm

strange lol.

I think I've read on here where some of you have had your membranes

stripped.

Can you tell me about it? Did it help things along? Was it worth it?

Does it

hurt? Anything will help. This is just such a tough decision for me as

at first

I was wanting another C-section because it really was so much more

easier once

we did it but now I'm just not sure. Any input would be nicely welcomed.

Also, if anyone e-mailed me personally I'm sorry I haven't responded

as I don't

have access to that e-mail so if you'd like to, you can use

heathertodd75 at

yahoo dot com.

Well I think that's enough for now, sorry to ramble on lol.

Hugs,
