Guest guest
My son was a carrier of strep. I got it 5 times in one year. My son, not the carrier, got it once. My daughter never got nor did my husband. I finally got the doctor to check all three kids. never showed any symptoms. But, he tested positive. Once we treated him, I didn't get strep again. We treated him the end of 1998 and early 1999. I also noticed that other kids in his class stopped getting strep after he got treated. Who started it? Who knows? But was definitely a carrier. Guest guest
They take a strep test. I spoke with the doc earlier, and he said if someone in my family was a carrier, someone would be getting strep in the family. He asked if anyone else, but this family was getting strep, and of course, the answer was no. He said, " Well than they have a carrier in the family, a mono situation with one or all, or the children are coming in contact with a carrier. He also asked if my kids had contact with hers and I told him no. He said, than its not your family, its theirs. a > You're kidding! If you got strep that much, I would have the whole family checked. That's what we did. When I was on my last round of antibiotics, my daughter was scheduled for a 3 month check up. I called and told them that we were bringing in all kids to be swab for strep. My dr. was so upset that I kept getting strep. Dh got swab out at his dr. Before the swab, the dr. examined all kids and found no symptoms. But, the swab showed to have strep. So, we were all on antibiotics. Didn't thrill me but I was sick of being sick! It's been wonderful since then! Maureen
