Guest guest
Thanks and the others who have responded to my post. I am not worried about my gaining, I just felt that I was “abnormal” from others here on the list because I have been gaining while it seemed that the “norm” lost or only gained 5 pounds their entire pregnancy… I felt as if I was doing something wrong. I should know better than to compare myself to others—that is a bad habit I need to break (even 3 years post op!!). My lesson learned is to remember that not every pregnancy is the same and I will keep reminding myself that! Thanks again everyone, Ivy Kennedy
Guest guest
Ivy, I don't reply to quite a few questions, for lack of time mostly, I just wanted to add that I was 3 years post op and gained 18# total with my pregnancy. Uterine measurements each visit were normal and so were the ultrasounds. Doc wasn't worried about health of the baby at all. I had some retained fluid in my legs, but lost all of those 18# within 2 weeks of delivery. Best of luck! and you are right..... each and every one of us are different! Guest guest
Ivy, give yourself a break. 3 years out of surgery, being pregnant, you are bound to gain something! relax and enjoy this pregnancy. Once you feel that baby move, it will be wonderful, weight gain or not. But when it starts kicking the heck outta you......that's a different story!! ) Margaret
