Listmates,

Thanks to all who replied to my earlier posts about Owens speaking in

Princeton. Good news! Due to the interest and help of many in the

Princeton area, will speak to a group of up to thirty in a private

home office which is near the Princeton Shopping Center on April 21st at

1pm. Her presentation will be in three parts and will last from 1 PM to 5

PM. GFCF snacks will be offered. At 8 PM that same night there will be a

reception for CycleUSA's efforts to raise money for autism research.

If you plan to attend the Princeton seminar, please send email right away

to biologyofautism@... and we will make sure you are informed on

all the specifics of the talk.

Just a side note: as you may or may not have heard, recently attended

the Durham UK conference on autism. The moment she arrived there, she was

told that one of the speakers for the Durham conference could not attend,

and she was asked to speak in his stead. On Friday, she gave a talk about

sulfate's regulation and its role in neurodevelopment in the first two

years. This is really exciting, as it means that she's getting a chance to

have her important work heard in circles bigger than our humble (but

lovable) email lists, and that the big wheels in autism research may be

hearing important things they didn't know about sulfation, GAG's and so on,

's specialty.

Thanks again,

Terri in Santa Cruz

PS. You may crosspost this announcement to other

autism and related lists where it has not already appeared.
