Guest guest
Christie, I am not using the Clear Blue Easy tests, but my understanding is they all work about the same. What day of your cycle did you start testing? I know in an average 28 day cycle you should start testing around day 11. You should not use your first morning urine, unlike a pregnancy test. You should start testing some time after 10:00 am and make sure you limit you fluid intake at least 2 hours prior to testing. You only need to test once a day, about the same time each day. If you see a faint line which is not as dark as the line on the test strip it is usually negative (at least the several different types I have tried have all been that way). You usually don't have a " positive " test until the test line is as dark as the line on the test strip. Once you test positive, that means you are producing the hormone that will release the egg (ovulation). The positive test means you will typically ovulate in 12-48 hours. I have been using these for a couple of months now and have gotten a " positive " each month. I am also taking my temps and have noticed I have been ovulating on day 15 of my cycle each month. I have been able to recognize I ovulate about 12-24 hours after receiving a positive test result. These tests can be very helpful to recognize your potential ovulation, but don't get discouraged if your test doesn't turn positive. There are several reasons for this...you might not have started testing early enough, you might not have ovulated this month (which doesn't mean anything is wrong with you...occassionaly women will just have an anovulatory cycle), or maybe you didn't test at the right time or consitently. Try not to get discouraged. My best recommendation is if you are having fertile cervical fluid like you mentioned....have lots and lots of sex, because even though those tests can be helpful...they don't know everything. Good Luck! Donna K > Has anyone here used the clear blue easy ovulation test? I'm not sure if I'm > understanding them right or not. Last month I did one but i think it was on > the day after i ovulated and the line was lighter than the other one. But this > month I should be ovulating any day now..I have the egg white > discharge,etc..but every time i've done a test I only get the reference line, is this > right? When I ovulate will I have a dark line and when I'm not will I have no line? > Thanks > Christie > > >
