Guest guest
, I just read your post. Personally, I am with you. For two reasons. One, if you are going are going to be moving them into the same room soon and buying an expensive bunkbed for that reason, I would suggest the toddler bed. Secondly, yes, Zoe is small. And I don't believe you would be creating any pyschological problems for her. How would she know this anyway? It would be easier for her to get in and out of the toddler bed. It would cause her more frustration if she was having to get up into a bed that is too high for her anyway. Unless of course she uses a stool. And, she will have to use a stool for plenty of other things soon enough, so why not let it be easy for her to get into her own bed, without assistance. This will give her more of a sense of independance. Wouldn't it? Anyone else?? That is just my thoughts. Like you said, if she were a " typical " child, you would use the toddler bed anyway. Please excuse the phrase typical here. ) Go with your insticnts. You are her mom. People tell us to treat them their age and not their size. Well, I don't think getting her a toddler bed is treating her based on her size. That is a natural progression. Okay, I have rattled on long enough. Just my opinion.!) Take care, Jodi R. Guest guest
Hi ! I'll email you privately with a complete Team Lapish update. No need to bore everybody on the board. (LOL) It's very nice to 'hear' from you again. You've been missed! Anyway about the bed: Tully who is 3 is in a toddler bed and loves it. It's the only way we could fit both bed and crib in the girls room. I too, want to get them bunk beds or a double bed when Pip is ready and able. She fell out a few times in the beginning and I wouldn't worry about her hurting herself. She would just get right back into bed. So I say go with your gut and the toddler bed. Tell you mom you know a 'normal' 3 year old kid in a toddler bed. Talk to you later Team Lapish Jenyfer, Dan, Tully & the Pip
