Guest guest
Hi Beverly, No offense taken, lol. I'm actually liking the belly now too, but give it another couple of months (I'm only 21w 5d) and I'm sure it will almost feel like too much to bear. Especially at the rate the babies are growing. I do worry about it since, even though everything looks good at the moment, the doc is already warning me that come mid-May he is going to start puting some tight restrictions on me and by mid-June I may be on bed rest. I think he's being extra cautious since, like he said, my stature (I'm only 5' 1.5 " ) may make it hard for these kiddos to have enough room, especially if I'm sitting up a lot. I wouldn't think that the growth rate of your baby would have anything to do with your nutrition, especially if you're eating what and how you should. So far I've seen some pretty healthy sized babies come from post-wls women. Maybe your lil' girl is just going to be a petite little sweet pea. I know, personally, that I didn't get a whole lot of nutrition in the first 3.5 months of my pregnancy because I was so sick 24/7 and have continued to lose weight, and our babies are growing at a pretty good rate. I reallly believe its all individual. I'll bet you're getting tired of looking at those institutional hospital walls, but I think its great you and your doc are being proactive. Keep your chin up and I hope you have a blast at your shower.
