Guest guest
Hey Y'all, We just went for a well child check and Connor measured a complete half inch off in his legs. Last time in October is was a quarter inch. At convention he had equal length. So, does this mean the beginning of Asymmetry? I thought it was something that happened or showed up in very early infancy. Connor is 15 moths old. Help - I'm making a choice between putting in a Tai Bo work out tape or just buying the bottle of Kahlua Mudslide and getting slobberinly drunk. Would appreciate any info on asymmetry. Since Connor didn't have it earlier, I haven't got anything in my library from magic. I need answers fast. Thanks frineds, Connor 15 mo; IUGR/ SGA/RSS? (like not any longer huh?) Zantac, Periactin. Guest guest
Hi ......as far as I am aware assymetry is something that some RSS children are born with (Imogen has slight assymetry) The differences don't get any worse or any better. Have a little of the mud stuff and then do the workout!! try not to panic! Eileen( Imogen RSS age 6 36 " slight assymetry on left side) Kearns maknjess@...> wrote: Hey Y'all, We just went for a well child check and Connor measured a complete half inch off in his legs. Guest guest
, I'd opt for the mudslide. It tastes much better than sweating. May I join you? Seriously, the differences in measurement could be due to who was doing the measuring and how. If Connor was measured at the convention by Dr. H., then wait until July and have her measure him again. Connor is so young that even if he wiggles a little bit, it can throw off the measurements. I know that Dr. H. says that a child is born with assymmetry and does not develop it later on. While she will disagree with me, we saw very little evidence of it in Max when he was a baby, although there was a tiny bit, but as he has grown, it is more noticeable to me now. I think it is because he is just bigger. The proportions have not changed, but there is more to see than when he was infant- sized. She insists that she has always seen assymmetry in him. No point in arguing. It is what it is. Whoever is measuring Connor must be very careful and use the same device and stretch him as much as he/she can when he is lying down. It should be the same person each time and at least three measurements should be taken, with the longest one the one that is counted. Meanwhile, try to relax and tell yourself that you can check with Dr. H. this summer, if you plan on going to Chicago. And you may find that the next time you take him to the doctor, you will get something else entirely. It will be okay. I promise. Jodi Z. Guest guest
hi mary and eileen- christopher was also born with assymentry, his left side is smaller than the right. but his has improved some his legs were a 1/2 " off at birth and sibnce last year he has only been about 1 cm off. i dont know though if any one else has ever had a childs whose legs have done that or not. he has been followed by ortho since he was 2 months old. jodie (nicholas-5 nonrss, christopher-3 rss 22lbs 33 " , johnathon-6 m nonrss) -- In RSS-Support , EILEEN REID wrote: > Hi ......as far as I am aware assymetry is something that some RSS children are born with (Imogen has slight assymetry) The differences don't get any worse or any better. > Have a little of the mud stuff and then do the workout!! try not to panic! > Eileen( Imogen RSS age 6 36 " slight assymetry on left side) > > Kearns wrote: > Hey Y'all, > > We just went for a well child check and Connor measured a complete > half inch off in his legs.
