Guest guest
Does anyone know if Benadryl is GFCF? I've been giving it to my 14 mo. old son, who has chicken pox, and it's really helping the itch, but he's acting wild and crazy after the medication wears off. It makes him sleep for a few hours, then he acts like he's having a casein or gluten reaction. I know that hyperness is a side effect of Benadryl, but I thought that it either made them hyper OR sleepy. I called Parke-, and they could not verify the GFCF status, but they did say that there is some animal product in it. They didn't know if it was a milk product or not, just that it has some form of animal in it. I guess he might be reacting to the dyes. Has anyone else had this experience or have any ideas for me?
