Guest guest
That's all there is to it. While you mention it, , I'll put in a small ad on a favorite point of mine. A " thread " is a sort of conversation built up by someone replying to someone, and then someone replies to THAT and so on. Makes for a sometimes long email which has the advantage of containing all the relevant back and forth. The downside is that occasionally these get very long (I haven't seen any of these gigantic ones lately). That's not usually a problem, except it really is a pain for those getting email digests (they have to scroll a long ways to see the next msg). IF you are replying to an email digest, or if the thread is very lengthy, or if the oldest part of it doesn't even pertain to the subject anymore, then it's " polite " to snip away the oldest or irrelevant stuff. Those here who are challenged in any way, as to following this, can/should/will of course ignore this point. Steve D. How do you " reply " to a message? After hitting the " reply " button, do I just put my text at the top of the message box; ie, over the text of the original message?
