Guest guest
Holly, Atypical clubfoot are those feet that are described as short, fat feet with a deep lateral crease and a deep crease on the sole of the foot. These feet tend to have a strong cavus deformity (in addition to the clubfoot deformity) that becomes more apparent after the tenotomy. They are somewhat difficult to treat, however, Dr. Ponseti and others have been making significant progress in treatment in the past couple of years with close follow up and additional casting as needed. Guest guest
Daiga, What is meant by " cavus " deformity? According to your message, my son's clubfeet are atypical?? I didn't know this. It must be pretty common because so many of the feet that I've seen pics of look just like my son's. Thanks for the info.
