Guest guest
My daughter Addie has been in the AFO style Dobbs Brace for one week now. I am getting frustrated because her heel is not staying down in the shoe. I am able to get the heel down when I put them on and get the straps down very snug. When I check them later her heel has slipped up in them. Some times it takes several hours to do this, but sometimes just a few minutes. I feel like I am constantly putting them back on. I also stress about daycare. If I can not keep AFO's in correct position, how can I expect her caregiver to? She usually wears Old Navy socks that have the non-slip bottoms, but it makes no difference. Her feet still slip. Has anyone else had this kind of trouble?? Her feet look beautiful- I don't feel that it is a problem of not being properly corrected. I do know that an undercorrected foot will not stay in AFO well. I would love some advice! Thank you!
