Guest guest
Hi everyone, I just found the list today and joined immediately. Let me introduce myself. My name is Kim and I live in North Texas (about 60 miles north of Dallas). I am 33 years old, married to Glenn (for 12 years) and we have a 9 year old daughter, Katelyn. I had open RNY on September 8, 2003, so I'm 10 months post-op. I have lost 155lbs to date, and still losing. I was 400lbs the day of my surgery, today I am 245lbs. My goal is 170 (I'm 5'7.5 tall). When I got pregnant with Katelyn I weighed 330lbs and was told that she was a miracle baby, that I shouldn't have been able to get pregnant without the aid of fertility treatments. When she turned 6 months old, we started trying to conceive our 2nd. It never happened. Now she's nine, and I'm not super morbidly obese, and we're ready to start trying for another one. I have one more week of this month's BCP, then I'm getting off and we're going to officially start trying to conceive. I'm so excited, mainly because it will be so nice to be pregnant and NOT be 330lbs at the same time. We are so ready for another child, each of us craves for this baby. My DR told me he wanted to see me wait a year before getting pregnant. Well, that year is 2 months away, I figure it will take my 2 cycles, if not more to get pregnant, so I'm getting off the pill now. How quickly have some of y'all conceived after getting off the BCP? My first pregnancy was text-book. I gained only 13 pounds, no high-blood pressure, no gestational diabetes, I delivered a healthy 8lb baby girl via c-section nine days late 9 years ago. I'm certain that I will have to have another c-section, which is FINE by me, and while they have me open, I'll have them tie my tubes. We can't afford more than 2 kiddos. I'm eager to learn lots from everyone here, and so glad that I found this list. Kim in North Texas 400/245/170 not pregnant YET!!!
