Guest guest
Max had a contrast study today to see if his gj tubing is in place properly. All the doctor found was that the balloon part is halfway in his stomach and halfway in the track from his stomach to the outside. She is ordering a new one with a longer stem and, in the meantime, took some of the water out of the balloon. That explains the soreness at the site itself. But there was no explanation for the pains in his lower belly. I agree, Meribeth, that the anesthesia is partly to blame. It surely made things flare up. Max has had some degree of these pains before, though, so no one has any answers. Dr. H. wants to try Zelnorm, so maybe she will start him on it on Tuesday???? Also, thanks for telling me about the different mask. I'll have to look into it because Max's throat STILL hurts and he is still a bit hoarse. , thanks for the message, too. As I've said in previous posts, I don't know how I would be able to get through all of this without you all. I know that I try to help members of this listserve, so it's nice to know that you all came through for me. As I learn more, I'll let you know. I hope this never happens to your kids, but at least you can, as always, learn through our experiences. (Another huge sigh) Jodi Z.
