Guest guest
Hello everyone, Hi, my name is Shalonda and I am new to this group. I had RNY on 9/11/03 and so far I have had a very sucessful losing period. I have gone from a tight 26/28 to a nice 10 and very happy. I just started to see the plastic surgeons for consults on reconstructive surgery. But much to my suprise I am 6 weeks pregnant. This was not planned. I am not married (but was planning on getting engaged in June). I am so scared. Just 7 months post op and knocked up. I have seen my GYN doc on Friday to reconfirm the test and yep it was most certainly positive. Ironic, I use to sit and cry because I thought I would never have kids (complications from obesity, with poly cystic ovary disease and having lost an ovary 6 years ago) and now I am sitting here crying because I am pregnant. I want to have kids just didnt think it would happen like this. Abortion is not an option for me. I dont believe in it. My boyfriend has been extremely supportive and helpful with the news. Although we have only had a few days to get use to it. So gang, any help/advice/support is greatly appreciated. I do have my appointments to see the OB and the specialist group (for high risk patients). They are going to have a special nutritionist follow me. I just wanted to check in and get some help. ~thanks~ Shalonda
