Guest guest
Dear Jodi R. (as opposed to all the other Jodie's, Jody's, and Jodi's) , I am glad to hear from you and glad that weathered his viral storm so well. You are lucky to have such a responsive doctor so that he doesn't have to get SO sick to get attention! I am so happy that is getting so big! I am not sure I would be concerned that he only gained a couple of ounces in a week when he was ill. Most kids loose a bit when they don't feel good and our kids seem to loose LOTS when they are sick so if you have avoided that....you have done well, Mom. Also, I am not sure if many children gain at the exact same pace every week. I'll bet even average kids have days and weeks when they don't gain much, but they are only weighed every few months and so over time, they do gain. Also, was so small that he had LOTS of catching up to do. Maybe, that part of it will slow for a short time so he can catch his breath. I remember that just a few weeks ago, he weighed only 10 pounds. I am astonished that he has gained 50% more weight this quickly. You and Dr. H are amazing.
