Guest guest
Hi all- Today was rough. I was supposed to start a test last night, but had a bad SLE prior to the test. Fatigue swept over me and fell into a deep sleep. Woke up at 3:30 or therabouts....then started the test. went back to sleep. Got up around 7:20 or so... I was fine for a little bit, but then my numbers started to drop. I showed it to my husband who was concerned. " If your numbers keeping dropping, stop the test and get on the oxygen. " I sat down and they continued dropping. My lowest point was 81% so I called my dr and left a message. Too weak, I laid down and waited for the call. 1hr past so I called the respiratory therapist, who said Dr B called them twice and very worried about me. " Stop the test and please get back on your oxygen. " Thank goodness. A rental bipap machine was ordered STAT and delivered to my house within 2 hrs. I'll use this machine until mine is returned from a home care place out of state. Thankful I have a bipap to use tonight. It is an easy breathing mask, that has two prongs that fit in the nostrils and no mask pressing on my face... another blessing. Oxygen is bled into the bipap. My lungs feel like they have been " RIVERDANCED upon by Godzilla " --- there's a nice visual huh? But they do hurt, really. I am resting and will update you tomorrow.
