Guest guest
Hi I spent 7 hours at the ER yesterday, but was impressed with something I hadn't seen before. They were extremely busy with several heat related ills plus other things. They had an employee whose job it was to check to see if each person was doing okay and if they needed anything. He brought people water, crackers, warm blankets, etc and checked on how many people were ahead of them and just generally kept people informed. It was really nice to not be forgotten in the massses. I went because I had such extreme pain behind my right knee that I couldn't walk on it at all. I thought it was probably a muscle in severe spasm, but went to make sure it wasn't something more serious, like a blook clog. They found nothing and I am doing a bit better, but it was nice knowing it was nothing serious. They also listened to me and ran labs at my suggestion to make sure I wasn't low on magnesium or potassium. They also listened that I was concerned about an anyerism as they run in the family. They did an extensive ultrasound. It was a long stretch, but not as frustrating as some I have made. laurie
