Still around, just VERY busy! Welcome to newbies

Hi all,

I just thought I would make a quick post here to let yoou all know

that we are still around, and is doing better. He finally

seems to be over his virus. They are still unsure as to what it was.

Either bronchitis or mild RSV, but regardless, he was started on

breathing treatments, and boy did they help him. With his restricted

lungs, he just wasn't doing well, and his pediatrician decided to

start treatments before we got into a bad situation. Thankfully, we

were able to keep him OUT of the hospital this time! I am so happy

about that, I can't even tell you.

As far as weight gain goes, he is still TRYING to gain. He only had

a two ounce gain this past week. He is up to 15 lbs. 12 1/2 oz. He

is now a week and one day away from 22 months old! Wow, where does

the time go. I have been thinking a lot about how far he has come in

those 22 months though. When he was laying in the hospital for the

first three months of his life, and not thriving, was very scary.

Not only until 17 months did we learn he had RSS. So, life was very

hard and scary for a while, but since seeing Dr. H, I have to say, he

has made a great turnaround. Man, I think she needs me as a

spokesperson! LOL! )

Also, we have been busy here trying to get our house ready to sell,

for we have found a bigger house that we are waiting to be completed

and hoping this one sells in the meantime. It has been hectic

picking out floorcoverings and lighting and keeping everything

straight at home to show! I haven't been on the computer much and I

am very behind on the posts here. BUT, I did want to tell all the

new people welcome and that this is such a great site. Jana, ,

Almost new:o)), Jennie, etc. I am so gald to have read about

all of you and hope to be able to talk more directly with you all

when things settle down. But, you can go back and read all about

and see his pictures, too. They are under R in the

photo section. The main thing about him is that he struggles so much

with weight gain, even with all the extra calories. His gain has

slowed down latley, but I am hoping that after seeing Dr. H in July,

we will be able to figure something out.

I am so looking forward to the convention and meeting everyone. I

should be all moved in and settled in by then so things should go

well to get there. I also have the place where I get my hair cut

helping me. I was just hoping they would help pass out some of the

fliers or what have you, but they have decided they are going to do a

raffle for . They are raffling off their products and giving

ALL the money they make from that! I am so excited, as I am

sure they will do well.
