Guest guest
I haven't posted to this group in a long time, but I read everything. My youngest daughter, Destiny has RSS but is on the mild end of the spectrum, so we hven't had too many issues to face. However her ped recently stated that Destiny has clonus, a reflex problem that indicates damage to the motor neuron in the spinal column. I knew the muscles in her left leg were hypertonic. I am a massage therapist and I work on her legs every night at bedtime, but I thought that it was due to her mild assymetry and her heavy (4days a week) Taekwondo schedule. When I did an internet search for clonus I encountered sites for multiple sclerosis. Does anyone have any information on this condition? Her doctor didn't think it was harmful for her to continue in Karate and of course there are more tests. They'll have to wait until I find insurance I can afford, too rich for medicaid, and self employed. I'm probably over-reacting but I keep seeing my little girl who loves to spar and has wicked speed with her song-je-bohngs (nunchuckas) confined to a wheelchair. Anyway, thanks for listening and by the way I figured out how to post pictures if you would like to see my pint-size pugilist. , mom to Destiny RSS 5-in-a-minute and Fawn 27, Josh 21(in Iraq) and
