Guest guest
Hello Listmates, Thanks to all of you who responded to my juice and yeast diet question. Unfortunately I have been unable to find the pure pear juice in my area. I did find several places that carry both Knudsen and After the Fall but no pure pear juice. I also really want to have a pear/peach juice blend in addition to the pure pear juice. I have found that the peach flavor does a great job of hiding some of the supplements I have to give . So I think I have decided to make my own juice. I was wondering if any of you have tried making your own. My only real question is how best to store it. I don't want to can it because of the loss of nutrients due to the heat. Have any of you frozen your homemade juice? How does it keep well in the freezer? Another question. What is " sweet rice " ? I think I read someplace that sweet rice is short grained rice. Is that true? Does it really have a sweet taste? I have read about sweet rice flour being good for breads, as a thickening agent and other things. I am going to be grinding my own grains so I want to make my own sweet rice flour. Thanks for all the help! I simply don't know how I would have gotten ready to implement the diet with out your help. So many of the books leave out many of the small details.
