New doc and appointment and U/S!!!!!!!!!:-)

Hey everyone,

Went to the doctor yesterday and had a GREAT visit. I changed

doctors due to some problems with the first doctor and I feel so much

better with this doc already! He was checking for the baby's

heartbeat and had trouble finding it at first so he decieded to do

and ultrasound. (I asked nurse if they had trouble finding heartbeat

b/c of the extra skin and fat on my belly and she said that WAS it

and not to think there was a problem with baby. Of course I worried

anyway---I'm a first time mom!!!!!!) By time they brought in the

machine he had found the heartbeat. The heartbeat was good---

perfect. But he did the ultrasound anyway and we got to see our cute

baby!!!!!!!!

He/she is 14 1/2 weeks now and doc says he looks GREAT! Great size

and movement and doc was able to count 2 hands and 2 legs. I am

amazed that this baby, who is the size of my fist, already has arms

and legs and heartbeats and features and a profile!!!!! Amazing.

God is incredible.

Doc teased us for a second and made and I think we were having

twins! lol said he felt his heart drop and then his wallet!

lol But there is only one in there so all is well.

There was only one problem that the doc brought up and doc didn't

seem to think it was a big deal. He said my placenta is hanging low

down on my cervix. He said he would do another ultrsound in 4 weeks

to check on the placenta (as well as tell us the sex of the baby)

but until then and I couldn't have sex because it could

puncture the placenta!!!!!!! Poor !! Being pregnant I am ok

with out it but 4 weeks is a long time! But we'll do it for the

health of the baby. Anyone else have this problem? Doc said 99% of

the time the placenta goes back up, but what if it doesn't? Anyone

know what happens then?

Anyway, I started my day off sick and tired and after the doctor's

visit I could not stop glowing. The baby is doing well, doc is not

worried about how little I have gained and I am not having twins!

(although I am sure we would be excited if we were---family unit done

with one pregnancy!!)
