Guest guest
We do the same here and it works great. When my dh comes home he usually does the 5 - 5:30 feeding and I make dinner he plays with Aidan and when we have his 6 yr old they start his homework. I'm free to make dinner. number23 number23@...> wrote:Could you not knock dinner time back to 6? Let your dh come home and spend some *quality* time with the kids while you cook That's our system here, it works pretty good. s. Hi Naomi, I call in the witching hour but we certainly go through it here. My DH doesn't walk in the door until 5:00 usually and that's when we eat dinner so from 4-5 I am cooking dinner while playing referee to the older two and holding a screaming who yells " huggy " (hungry) as soon as she sees food no matter what she ate 5 minutes ago. And my DH wonders why we aren't smiley when he comes home???? I try my best but that hour can ruin a perfectly wonderful day otherwise.
