Guest guest
Hi group. I'm newly pregnant for the first time and have been reading like crazy to try to see if anyone else has posted this question. I was having daily morning sickness--only threw up once, but felt icky all the time--until 2 days ago. Now I feel fine. Nothing bothers me, and I'm not queasy at all. Of course, my doctor told me at our first visit last week that queasiness is a good sign. Now that I'm not sick, I am worried that something is wrong with the baby. Am I being stupid? Guest guest
you are not being stupid - just a normal worried 1st timer. LOL I think you should be greatful not to feel sick when those days come because the icky days may come back with a vengance. I felt the same as you in the first trimester - icky but not throwing up much and at the time I thought at least it is a normal sign of pregnancy. When I felt good or not pregnant at all I worried if I was low on hormones or something and was the baby OK. Once I started feeling the baby move around regulary that was enough of a sign. I also felt ick less often but it was OK because she was letting me know she was there by the movements. Now as I enter the third trimester I feel sick more often than I did in the first trimester. I thought it was over for most of the people after the first trimester. Well it is back for me and the doctor says though it is not the most common thing it is not unusual. I just feel greatful that I do not throw up too much as there are some out there that vomit 24/7 for the 9 months. You are normal and will worry about much more in the months to come until you get to hold your little one. Even then you will worry until they are out of the house. Guest guest
You're not being stupid at all. I'm a worrier too and looked for every sign (or absence of), thinking it must be something bad. I was sick as a dog for about 3.5 months, but when the morning sickness stopped, it stopped! No tapering off, I just seemed to feel all better one day and all that dreaded vomiting was gone. I think yours will be fine too.. but when in doubt, call you doc! Trish > Hi group.
