My daughter is baby sitting a seven year old cousin a lot like this.

Grandma's advice is to hold her on her lap (basically gentle restraining)

and question her about what's upsetting her, what she can do to calm

herself, pray, etc. Grandma says it works for her. My daughter hasn't had a

chance to try it. I do know that the mother (my sister in law) can't get

anyone else to baby sit, and if this doesn't work, my daughter will not be

baby sitting either.
