This project empowers health promoters and outreach workers across Florida to help them design and implement specific training to help them help their own communities. Mr. Gomez, Health Promoter with the program Pocos Hijos Para Darles Mas, led the Florida Institute For Community Studies to apply for this funding. “Health Promoters are the advocates for the whole community. No one else knows the issues like we do because we are out there every day. Sometimes people need extra training,” said Mr. Gomez.
