I have a question myself about jaw issues. Hannah who will be three August

2nd grinds her teeth at night, her lower teeth are crowded. Does anyone have

any of their RSS children that do this? Just curious!

Yes, Xavier grinds his teeth all day and sometimes at night. Mostly when he

is upset, or if he is stressed, (like when he's doing alot during PT or OT, or

even in a new situation) and his lower teeth are crowded. He only has the

bottom front two, but they are crooked, (toward eachother) and his top are the

same way. He has more of them up there, but the two next to his front two are

crooked, (point toward eachother).

Hope this helps!

P.S. he also has vision problems that are going to require a very strong

prescription, (can't remember exactly what) but when the Optho. let me look

through the lenses he would need, it hurt my eyes! He also has ptosis, which

they

are saying will require surgery now (as opposed to at four) because it covers

his pupil and interferes with him seeing right. He turns his head to the side

and looks out of the corner of his eyes to see things. No idea how we are

going to keep hearing aids and glasses on him at the same time.

Dominic (age 4.5 years )grinds his teeth also. I am starting to

wonder if he is doing it more now that he knows it drives me crazy.

I am trying to ignore it so that maybe he will stop : ))) His teeth

are crowded as well but the dentist said there's nothing we can do

about now - not until he gets his permanent teeth.
