Guest guest
Be careful here. There isn't a " difference " in the initial symptoms and thus the first line treatment. The difference lies in " recovery " . Stroke-like events are generally short lived. And cause extreme confusion in the General Medical community due to the level of recovery which in the beginning tends to be without long term symptoms. TIA's are more like siezures. Again, they are known as " awake " seizures, generally don't show on eeg's and such and confuse the heck out of the medical community. But they can manifest in all sorts of ways. ie. fainting, starring, sleep walking..... the list is as varied as the patient. Hope that helps a little. I am sure Laurie or one of the Docs might chime in? Hugs, Elle shaynapearl happyclam8@...> wrote: Could someone tell me what the difference is between Stroke-Like Episodes and actual strokes or TIAs? Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, wine in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming WOO HOOEY!
